This is a one hour online program for parents/guardians, reinforcing their role in their child’s activities, encouraging positive sport behaviors, and providing insight into the various roles other individuals play, such as coaches and officials. The cost is $12.00 and must be done prior to April 1st. Upload your completed certificate to your Roma Powerup Account.
Club Roma Soccer offers a full range of house league programming beginning with Soccer Starters for players turning 3 and 4 years old this year. U4, Soccer Starters takes place every Wednesdays at Roma from 6pm to 7pm. Each session begins with drills/games, followed by health break and ends with a scrimmage against another team. This program involves parents to actively participate each week. Parent /Student volunteers are coaches. Cost includes uniform, ball and participation medal. Cleats or running shoes may be worn, however shin pads are a must. No jewellery.
Teams will be split into boys and girls teams.

Depending upon enrollment, the U11-12, U13-14, U15-16 and U17-18 divisions may play an interlock division with other neighbouring clubs in order to provide greater opportunity for skill development and friendly competition.
Practices for U6 and up are held on Saturday mornings.
Cost is $225.00 and includes uniform and ball and coached by parents or student volunteers.

Depending on registration numbers, we hope to have the following divisions for 2023:

Main Fields for House League: Club Roma
Thinking about travel for next year? Players 7 or turning 7 this year can take part in our U7 Developmental Girls / Boys teams. Players take part in up to 1-2 practices per week and one game against a house league team or play against each other. Cost for the season includes one Roma travel kit. Coaches are parents/students or travel coaches.
Our Summer Soccer Campers 2024 had a great week with us August 8th to 11th. We look forward to welcoming all our campers back in 2025.

A. The divisions are U4 (ages 3-4 -for Soccer Starters) and House League divisions are U6 (5-6 year olds), U8 (7-8), U10(9-10), U12(11-12), U14(13-14), U16(15-16) and U18(17-18). Younger age groups are separated into male/female and older divisions are co-ed.
A. Practices and games will begin in the middle to end of May (weather and field conditions dependent). The season ends with playoff week at the mid-August.
A. The games will be played between Monday – Friday. Standardized Training Schedule for all House League means coaches will have the opportunity to bring their teams to either Club Roma fields or Sir Winston turf on Saturday mornings.
We will be aiming for the following game schedule dependent fully on field availability: U4, Soccer Starters: Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm at Roma U6: Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm at Roma U8: Tuesday from 7pm to 8pm at Roma U10: Monday games from 6pm to 7pm at Roma U12: Interlock division with other clubs. Anticipated game night is Tuesdays. Game times vary from 6:15pm to 7:30pm. U14: Anticipated game night is Tuesdays. Possible interlock division with other clubs. Game times vary from 6:15pm to 7:30pm
A. The registration fee for Soccer Starters is $130.00. The registration fee for U9-U16 House League is $225.00 for all ages. The registration fee provides the child with a full uniform including shirt, shorts and socks, a team picture, a participant medal and treat at season's end.
A. The child must have shin protection (Ontario Soccer Association requirement) and proper soccer cleats. Note: U4, Soccer Starters players may wear running shoes.

Click the "REGISTER NOW" button below. Create a Roma Family account and register the players in your family. Once registered and paid in full, your child will be allocated to a team. Team and Coach details will be sent out in May prior to the start of the season. You MUST OPT IN to receive emails from our club. This is the only method of communication we utilize.
When completing your child's registration, there is a section to complete if you would like to volunteer. Our volunteers receive a coaching discount of $50.00 / U6 and up and $50.00 for U4, Soccer Starters. All coaches, once approved must provide an up to date Vulnerable Sector Records Check through NRPS. Submit a Coaching application to houseleague@romasoccer.com
No special requests will be taken for 2025 house league season.

We will attempt to share Team allocations and coaching details with players in April. Unfortunately, we tend to experience a lot of last minute registrations which can make a huge impact on team allocations and therefore, there may be some delay. Parents may always reach out to us with any concerns.
A. Your child will learn basic and developmental soccer skills, team work, have fun, increase their fitness level and make new friends. Programs are in accordance with Ontario Soccer's Grassroots program in alignment with Long-Term Player Development. https://www.ontariosoccer.net/player-grassroots
A. All games will be held at Club Roma as field availability permits. Otherwise games may be held at Woodgale or parks nearby including the turf field at Sir Winston Churchill High School. Interlock division games may be played at neighbouring clubs such as Thorold or Niagara on the Lake.
A. All of our mentors are parent and/or student volunteers who wish to participate to make a difference in the child's learning experience. All of our volunteers will be offered a chance to participate in ongoing coaching clinics that enhance the quality of our coaches.
If coaches cannot be secured for a team, then parents may be asked to step in and assist.
A. Registration assistance is available through programs such as “Pro Kids” and “Jumpstart". No child will be refused.
